Why You Should Hire a Crime Scene Cleanup Company

There are many reasons why it is worth hiring a crime scene cleanup company. A crime scene presents unique challenges, and it is a situation that requires the help of specialists. Because of this, you should look for a professional trauma cleanup in Louisiana, or wherever else you may be located. Below you can find out more on why it is always worth hiring a specialist crime scene cleanup company.

Trained and Certified

Cleaning up a crime scene requires specific training and certification. A regular cleaning company will likely not possess these credentials and therefore will not be equipped to handle the challenge. Aftertime Bio has trauma scene cleanup certification which means you can rely on us.

Bio-chemicals can also leave behind lingering stains that are difficult to remove. A specialist crime scene cleanup company is certified to handle biohazard remediation which gives you full confidence and peace of mind. Biohazards are dangerous and should only be handled by experts.

Discreet

Another key benefit of hiring a specialist crime scene company is that they work discreetly and understand both unique and tragic situations. They have seen a variety of crime scenes, so they know how to proceed respectfully and quickly understand all types of situations. This is something that a regular cleaning company does not have. Doing the job yourself can also cause a lot of mental stress and trauma. As cleaning up blood is a task that can leave lasting scars, it is far better to leave the job to professionals.

Available 24/7

A crime scene doesn’t only occur during daytime hours or on specific days. It can happen at any hour and at any time of the year. Usual cleaning companies may be unavailable, but a specialist crime scene company is available 24/7 to quickly head to the scene. They understand the importance of getting the scene cleaned as soon as possible. A lot of time and effort can be saved by making use of a professional trauma scene cleanup service.

Covered by Insurance

Most people worry about the cost of hiring a crime scene cleanup company, but typically this is covered by insurance. You can check with your insurance policy to see whether coverage is provided. This removes the financial worries of the cleanup procedure which is what leads many people to avoid seeking out the services in the first place. Even if you don’t have insurance, a cleanup can be more affordable than you think, as there are payment plans available.

Regulations Followed

Cleaning up a crime scene requires following specific regulations. There are certain ways that cleaning should be handled. A specialist crime scene company has the right experience to perform a cleaning job in a way that follows all regulations. Furthermore, the proper equipment is used to ensure a professional result. Regular cleaning companies and individuals are unlikely to have the equipment needed. Additionally, they may be unclear with regards to regulatory guidelines.

At Aftertime Bio, we are proud of our transparent process which sets us apart. Meth Lab House Cleaning

meth lab cleanup

Have you discovered a drug operation on your property? Whether your tenants have been making methamphetamine or any other kind of drug, Aftertime Bio is here to help with our sanitizing cleaning services.

Meth labs pose a real danger, even after being shut down. The risk of a crystal meth lab explosion is still there. Any property used to create meth and other drugs can have devastating effects on anyone living there. That is, unless you hire a meth lab cleaning company to take care of the problem.

What is a Meth Lab, and How Can You Spot One?

Meth is one of the most common drugs because it is relatively easy to make. Meth is made from common over-the-counter medications and without much specialist equipment. A meth lab is a room or property dedicated to the production of meth.

Of course, no one can anticipate someone creating a meth lab in their residential or commercial property. As such, it’s worth knowing the signs of a meth lab so you can watch for them. Taken on their own, things like drawn curtains, unexpected visitors, and foul smells might not draw much suspicion. They are common signs of a meth lab, but they aren’t always an indication. It would be best if you trust your instincts, however. Take these as signs to be more vigilant in the future.

Often, the behavior of the residents can hold clues to the potential for illegal activity happening inside the building. If you notice that tenants appear more paranoid, stay inside for extended periods, smoke outside, or take their garbage somewhere else, these may be signs that something is wrong.

Crystal meth lab smell is another indicator something is wrong. If neighbors are complaining about foul odors, check the trash cans for the property. If you see a suspicious amount of over-the-counter medications, respiratory masks, and fuel canisters, then it’s time to consult the police.

You should never confront potential meth lab owners by yourself. Always call the police and let them handle things. Then call disinfectant companies to manage the cleanup operations.

What Are The Dangers Of Cleaning a Meth Lab On Your Own?

If you searched something like “How to clean a meth lab house” or “how do you clean up a meth lab house” online, you’d get many results. Many meth lab cleanup guidelines are available, including a set of EPA meth lab cleanup guidelines published by the government. However, you should be aware of the risks of cleaning up after a meth lab.

Methamphetamine is a highly addictive drug made using regular medications and other standard chemical compounds. The process for making meth uses basic equipment, but it does produce some deadly vapors. The chemicals produced during cooking permeate the walls, floors, ceiling, and furniture of a property. Meth production creates dust that gets into carpets, curtains, and other personal belongings. Spilled chemicals are another contamination risk in meth production. The chemicals used to make crystal meth might not be hard to come by, but they still present clear dangers when misused.

All meth lab cleanup guidelines explain how the process involves cleaning hazardous materials that require industry certification. The technicians at a meth lab cleanup company have all the training, experience, and equipment needed to hand caustic and volatile chemicals with an explosion risk. Still, there are many occasions where people don’t realize their property is a meth lab until it’s too late and there’s a crystal meth lab explosion.

Chemicals aren’t the only hazard to be found with meth labs. Meth labs tend to be overrun with rodent and insect infestations as well. The interior of a meth lab is often plagued with trash, filth, broken glass, and hypodermic needles. Technicians with sanitizing cleanup services have to use heavy-duty personal protection equipment (PPE), including respirators and face masks.

Why Should Hire a Professional Cleaning Service Like Aftertime Bio to Help

When our sanitizing cleaning services are finished, we offer a full report documenting everything we did. The report is generally forwarded to the regulatory agency for the release of the property.

You should hire a professional meth lab cleanup company to ensure the safety of everyone involved with the property, whether it be a commercial, residential, or industrial building. Get in touch with our operators today to learn more about meth lab cleanup guidelines and what we can do for you.

Hoarding Clean Up Services

Aftertime Bio is a hoarder house cleaning service you can trust. We understand that you want a compassionate and professional service when cleaning up after a hoarder. We know that hoarding is a unique issue that has nothing to do with being lazy or from poor organizational skills. Hoarding is a complex anxiety disorder where people have trouble parting with things, no matter how much value those things hold.

What is Hoarding?

Hoarding is a form of compulsive behavior characterized by people acquiring and collecting items that would have little to no value to other people, such as clothes, newspapers, and other papers. Homes become so cluttered that it becomes impossible for hoarders to live properly. The compulsion causes further distress and makes it difficult, if not impossible, to maintain a social life or maintain gainful employment. We know that hoarding is something that you can’t control, and we would never judge you or the hoarder in your life for their condition.

At Aftertime Bio, we‘re experienced in running a hoarder house cleaning service. We can help deal with clutter in a caring and professional manner. Whether you need one room cleaned or a whole five-bedroom house, you can count on us. You’ll feel at ease discussing your situation with us from the first call to the end of the cleaning project.

Cleaning Up After A Hoarder

A hoarders home can become cluttered beyond recognition over years. The worse the problem is, the more dangerous it becomes. Homes can quickly become health and fire hazards if they aren’t taken care of. Large stacks of fabrics and papers become a host of flammable material that can cause dangerous fires. Too much clutter also makes it impossible to reach certain parts of the home or access particular appliances. This means that technicians can’t access electrical and plumbing systems, leaving them unable to repair or maintain them. Additionally, it’s common to see rodent and pest infestations in homes with hoarders.

We understand that hoarding can become such a serious issue that the individual and their family is too overwhelmed at the prospect of cleaning to know where to start. There’s also the fact that cleaning up after a hoarder can be dangerous. There’s an increased risk of health conditions such as staph infections, histoplasmosis, Hanta virus, E. coli, and MRSA when cleaning homes occupied by hoarders.

That’s where companies that clean hoarder homes come in. If you need help dealing with the size of a cleaning project because you’re cleaning up after a hoarder, then please count on Aftertime Bio to help. We have all the training and experience you need to get the job done quickly and professionally with a realistic and compassionate approach. We want to help you.

If you or someone you know suffers from hoarding compulsions, get in touch today to learn more about how we can help you.

Services

We offer a range of hoarder house cleaning service options, including:

  • Removing Hoarded Items and Clutter from Rooms
  • Clutter Disposal
  • Clearing Bio-hazard Waste
  • Cleaning
  • Disinfecting
  • Deodorizing

Please note that how long it takes to complete the job depends on the size of the job. While no job is too big or too small for us, required cleaning time will vary based on the size of the space. Of course, we’ll aim to get everything done as quickly as possible so you continue on with your life.

We are Non-Judgmental

There’s an unfortunate lack of awareness and understanding of hoarding compulsions in society. We even see it with other cleaning companies. People who hoard can be worried that they won’t have any control if they hire someone to come and help clean their home. People feel embarrassed or that they will be judged when others see how much they have accumulated over time. We guarantee that you will never feel like you are being judged by our cleaners.

This is even more important when a hoarder dies. One sad fact of the condition is that not everyone overcomes it. It’s difficult to clean up when a hoarder dies because you may not know what they’ve stored and kept hidden away, which makes the process riskier. You may also have the additional struggle of dealing with the grief that comes with losing a loved one.

The Aftertime Bio Difference

We will work with you no matter how involved you do – or don’t – want us to get. You might want to have complete control over the process. Perhaps you want to keep a few things here and there – things that have real value. Perhaps you don’t even know where to start. No matter your situation, we’ll be there for you. We’ll help you get your house back into a habitable condition so you can live a healthy and happy life.

Aftertime Bio is a hoarder house cleaning service you can trust. We follow strict regulations, including OSHA standards and practices to stay safe during the process. Our cleaners wear the appropriate Personal Protection Equipment and have respiratory equipment. We’ll remove any hazardous materials from the home, clean, sanitize, disinfect, and deodorize.

We pride ourselves on offering discretion and privacy to hoarders and their loved ones. We make confidentiality a strict core policy. Please don’t hesitate to get in touch today if you need someone to help you clean up after a hoarder. If you’re a hoarder and want a private and discrete service, then you can count on us. We are compassionate people providing a compassionate service.

Air Duct Cleaning Service

Cleaning HVAC1

Everyone understands how incredible air conditioning can be during the hotter months, but not everyone knows how to clean air ducts or why they should do it. There are several great reasons to keep your ducts clean, such as better air quality, efficiency, and overall health. If you’re looking for the best company to clean air ducts, then Aftertime Bio could be just what you need.

Why Do I Need to Clean My Air Ducts?

You might not give much thought to the air you breathe at home or at work. Air is all around us so it’s easy to take for granted. It doesn’t help that it is also odorless and colorless. You forget it’s even there. However, just because you can’t see or smell the air in your building doesn’t mean that its safe and clean. How could you tell there’s a problem with it if you can’t see or smell it?

Air quality problems are one of the things that people only notice when it’s too late. You get a cough or a cold and it lasts longer than it should be. If you leave your air ducts too long without being cleaned, then dust, pollen, and debris quickly piles up in there. It turns your air ducts into the perfect breeding ground for bacteria and other microbiological compounds. These microorganisms can affect your health and cause allergies.

If your health problems are caused by what’s happening in your air ducts, then all the prescriptions in the world won’t help. Failing to treat the root cause by ordering clean air duct treatment means the things that make you sick are always present, waiting to strike again. Hiring a service like Aftertime Bio to clean the dirt, dust, bacteria, and other problems from your air duct is the only solution.

Clean Air Duct Treatment For AC Efficiency

Another reason to have your air ducts cleaned regularly is to ensure your A/C system continues to function normally. You might notice that you’ve got your unit on all the time, but it isn’t working effectively and the air remains as humid and stale as it was before. You might think that your machine is on the fritz, but it’s a possibility that it could be full of dust. Hire the best company to clean air ducts to come and remove all the dust and get your A/C unit working properly.

The standard A/C system blows up to 450 cubic feet of air per minute through air ducts around the house. If those ducts fill with dust and debris, then it causes the A/C unit to push harder to get the job done. If the A/C unit is always running at full power, it leads to expensive electric bills. Worst of all — your home is always as stuffy and warm as it was before. You aren’t even getting anything for all that extra money.

How Aftertime Bio Cleans Air Ducts

Aftertime Bio has all the experience and equipment to clean air ducts you need. You can rest assured that our team will leave your home and business as clean as possible. Our detailed process provides exceptional disinfection and protection from bacteria, mold, dust, allergens, and much more.

The first thing we do is inspect the building and ducts for debris and dirt. We also check the system for gaps or breaches that could cause problems. These breaches could be the reason that outside contaminants entered the system in the first place. Next, we use specialized tools to remove all the dirt and debris in the duct, freeing them from the sides of the ducts. We then use a high-powered vacuum cleaner to remove anything left in the ducts. We finish the service by doing another inspection to ensure that all the contaminants are gone from the air ducts before declaring another job well done.

The health and safety of your family, employees, or customers is paramount. A dirty A/C system blows dust, dander, pollen, and other allergens into your home or business whenever you turn the A/C on. Having the ducts clean means that your home or business is cleaner, healthier, and safer. Get in touch with Aftertime Bio today to learn more about how we can help you breathe easier.

How Often Do Air Ducts Need to be Cleaned?

The answer to the question of how often you should clean your air ducts depends on the circumstances. We encourage cleaning if you notice mold in and on your ducts, have ducts infested with vermin, or see excessive debris and dust in your ducts. When that happens, it’s time to call the experts.

HVAC Cleaning and Disinfection

Contaminants such as mold can live and thrive in any area where moisture is present, including inside an air duct system. When these problems set in, it turns the whole A/C system into a breeding ground for mold. The system ends up spreading spores through your home instead of clean air.

After removing the source of the contamination, we thoroughly clean and disinfect your system to prevent further issues. Taking the time to clean your ducts properly like this means that you’ll get better indoor air quality, contributing to overall health and happiness of anyone inside the building.

Improve Your Air Quality With Aftertime Bio Air Duct Cleaning Services

Your air ducts cycle air into your home, so having clean air ducts means you get plenty of clean and fresh air. The less contaminants you have in the system, such as allergens and dander, the better for your health and wellbeing. You’ll be able to enjoy all the benefits of having clean and healthy air when you hire the best company to clean air ducts. Having a clean system is the key to having an efficient system that lasts for years to come. Cleaning from Aftertime Bio pays for itself in terms of electric bills and HVAC maintenance savings.

Get in touch today to arrange an inspection or air duct cleaning session.

What Areas and Surfaces Need to be Cleaned For COVID-19?

The coronavirus pandemic is, unfortunately, far from over. With more cases each day, there’s never been more of a focus on cleaning and disinfecting surfaces at home and in the office to prevent the spread of virus. While social distancing and wearing a face mask or other protective covering are necessary for staying safe indoors, properly cleaning and sanitizing surfaces can’t be ignored.

The problem with germs is that they are too small to be seen with the naked eye. This is why you need to be thorough with your cleaning — to ensure that you get everything. The process can be overwhelming, so don’t hesitate to search for “coronavirus cleaners near me” and hire Aftertime-Bio to take care of it all for you. Our technicians have the knowledge and experience to see the process through. There’s a lot to keep track of with COVID-19 cleaning, so don’t be afraid to ask for help.

How Long Do Germs Stay on Surfaces?

The Mayo Clinic suggests that droplets containing cold and flu viruses, such as the novel coronavirus, can stay infectious for several hours. How long the germs remain infectious depends on the particular type of germ. It also depends on the surface in question. In general, hard surfaces such as plastic and stainless steel hold onto germs for longer.

Doctors suggest coronavirus and other flu viruses can last for up to 24 hours on hard surfaces. Other viruses, such as clostridium difficile and the norovirus can last for up to weeks at a time on a hard surface. Soft surfaces, such as blankets and couches, don’t hold germs for as long. This is why you should focus on cleaning hard surfaces in particular. COVID 19 cleaning services can be useful for ensuring that all surfaces are sufficiently treated.

Please note that other factors, such as temperature and humidity levels, affect how long viruses may live on surfaces. These are only rough estimates based on average external factors. It’s possible that the virus may persist longer than listed here.

Federal Guidelines for Cleaning Coronavirus

Several government agencies, such as the CDC and EPA, have released coronavirus cleaning guidelines for those who want to tackle the problem by themselves.

The CDC recommends immediately closing areas used by someone exposed to coronavirus. Businesses should then wait as long as possible – preferably 24 hours at the least – to begin disinfecting. Open windows and doors to improve circulation.

Start by removing obvious grime and dirt from surfaces and areas. From there, use disinfectant products to clean shared surfaces that are likely to have germs on them. The cleaning should be done by professionals in the right protection equipment, including gloves, and immediately washing their hands when done. Dispose of cleaning gear to ensure minimal risk of transference.

The EPA maintains and updates a list of disinfectants considered to be effective against coronavirus. The agency recommends that you use these products and follow the directions listed on them, as some products may take longer to be effective than others. Be sure to use the longest time or highest concentration if different concentrations and times are listed on the product.

What Areas to Focus On?

The CDC and EPA encourage cleaning high-touch surfaces including counters, tables, doorknobs, bathroom fixtures, toilets, switches, tablets, phones, and keyboards. Here are other areas to focus on:

Bathrooms

When cleaning bathrooms, be sure to focus on opening knobs for cupboards and drawers. Clean the taps on baths and sinks and the flushing handle for the toilet. Clean the sink and toilet to be safe. If you have any shelves or racks in your bathroom, such as for storing toiletries, they should be cleaned as well.

Kitchens

Focus on cupboards and drawers as with bathrooms. Clean the taps on the sink. Don’t forget about appliances and handles, such as refrigerators, pots, pans, microwaves, and ovens. Don’t forget the shelves and racks while you’re cleaning.

Living Areas

There’s more to clean at home than you might expect. Clean the usual suspects such as tables and doorknobs, but don’t neglect little things that might go unnoticed. Be sure to clean video game controllers, remote controls, landlines, cell phones, and tablets. Also, be sure to clean light switches, stair handrails, and carpets or rugs.

Office Spaces

Office spaces can be particularly difficult to clean. There’s no telling where an infected employee may have touched. Start by cleaning their working area and the area around it. Also, clean any communal areas they may have visited. Pay special attention to surfaces and appliances. Clean keyboards, monitors, and computer mice. Clean big appliances like printers and vending machines. Cleaning is even more important in a retail space or hospitality setting.

You don’t want to jeopardize the health and safety of your customers any more than you would your employees. Pay special attention to sales counters, carpets, and shelving. It can be worth utilizing covid-19 commercial cleaning services to ensure that cleaning is done to the right standard.

Schools

Schools have a huge responsibility to stay clean. Even though children and young adults are less at-risk from the severe side-effects of coronavirus, they can still pass it on to their parents and loved ones. Teachers are also not granted immunity. Make sure to clean desks, boards, equipment, drinking fountains, vending machines, stair handrails, and elevator buttons and controls.

Let Aftertime-Bio Help

As you can see, there’s a lot to clean when it comes to coronavirus. It may feel like too much, even. However, it’s much better to be safe than sorry with this.

The idea of cleaning all this — and more — is no doubt daunting for many. If you are feeling overwhelmed at the thought of all the work you’ll need to do, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. Aftertime-Bio is here to help, and we provide professional coronavirus disinfection services. Our team of dedicated coronavirus cleaning experts knows what needs to be done and have the tools to do it. Count on us to clean everything that matters to you to protect your home, school, business, or other building safe from coronavirus.

Four Questions About Coronavirus Disinfection Services

Effective cleaning and disinfection have never been more necessary in a country, and the world, still gripped by the coronavirus pandemic. Unfortunately, typical cleaning services won’t get the job done with this super virus. You need to ensure that your home and business are as clean as can be, which means you might want to consider searching the internet for “professional disinfecting services near me.”

Working alongside a coronavirus cleaning company like Aftermath-Bio could be the difference you need to stay clean, stay safe, and stay healthy during the pandemic.

Here are four of the most frequently asked questions about coronavirus disinfection services.

What Cleaners Get Rid of Coronavirus?

The CDC and EPA make it easy to keep track of which cleaners are approved for removing coronavirus from surfaces. The organizations keep a list of cleaners dubbed “List N” that covers all of the approved products.

Most people are aware that Lysol hand sanitizer is effective. Lysol was the first product to be added to the list. However, that’s only good for your hands. The full list includes six Clorox products, including Clorox disinfectant wipes and Pine-Sol, which was recently added to the N List. The list also includes 16 products from Lonza and six from Lysol, including the aforementioned hand sanitizer.

Four other companies have one product each on the list. The full list is quite extensive so be sure to take a look and see what’s on there.

We stock and use a wide variety of cleaning products for our coronavirus cleaning. All of the products we use are approved by the EPA and designated effective against SARS-COV-2, the virus that causes coronavirus.

Clorox Spray

Why Do the Cleaning Solutions Need to be EPA-Approved?

There are several reasons to use products approved by the EPA. The first is that you are guaranteed to be using a safe and effective product.

Any company can claim that their products remove coronavirus. Without official verification, however, those products are nothing but snake oil. It would be both disingenuous and morally wrong to lie to people about something as serious as coronavirus prevention.

The N List contains over 490 disinfectants that are presumed effective based on testing against eliminating other diseases and have now been tested against SARS-COV-2. The manufacturers conduct tests that are verified by the EPA. Any cleaners approved by the EPA should be considered safe and effective for removing coronavirus and other pathogens.

Safety is another important factor when choosing EPA-approved products. Some chemicals that effectively eliminate the virus are not safe for use around people. They make good industrial cleaners but aren’t safe for homes and businesses. They may also be dangerous to handle without proper training and equipment.

The products tested and approved by the EPA come with full guidelines on where – and how – to use them. If you’re looking to eliminate coronavirus in your home without risking your family’s health and safety, you should stick with products from List N.

More products are being tested and approved all the time, so keep an eye on the list of EPA-approved coronavirus cleaning products.

What Kind of Equipment Needs to be Worn when Cleaning?

Standard PPE (personal protective equipment) is a must when cleaning for coronavirus. The EPA recommends wearing gowns and disposable gloves during the cleaning process, including when handling and removing trash.

Please note you may need further PPE based on the cleaning and disinfectant products you use and whether or not there’s a risk of splashing. Please be sure to remove and dispose of gloves and gowns safely to avoid contamination. It’s no good to wear protective equipment only to infect yourself with it right at the end.

At Aftertime-Bio, we take coronavirus cleaning more seriously than just the standard. Our technicians are as safe as possible and wear all the equipment they could possibly need. We equip our technicians with fully-encapsulated personal protection equipment, including full-face respirators. We want everyone involved in the process, including you, to be as safe as possible.

When Do I Need to Hire Covid Cleaning Services?

The short answer to this question is that there’s no such thing as a bad time to hire covid cleaning services. There are several times when it becomes almost important, if not essential, to call cleaning services. These are:

Before opening back up

Many businesses have been shut down due to coronavirus lockdowns. Whether it’s because they were deemed non-essential or because supply chains were lost, many physical locations have been closed. If your business plans on opening again soon, we recommend calling a cleaning service to give the place a once-over.

After a suspected or confirmed case in the building

What To Do If You Have A Suspected Or Confirmed Cases Of COVID-19 In The Workplace

Businesses across the country – and indeed the world – are slowly reopening in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. However, the virus is still with us, so the new challenge becomes how to handle suspected and confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the workplace. Your business should have a plan in place before reopening. It’s much better to be prepared for the worst-case scenario. With that in mind, here’s what to do if you have a suspected or confirmed case of COVID-19 in the workplace.

A Four-Step Plan For Handling Workplace COVID-19

1. Isolate, and Quarantine Confirmed Cases

Anyone confirmed to have COVID, or be suspected of having it, should stay at home until released by a public health official or physician. If the employee/employer can’t get access to a medical note confirming the release, then employees should follow CDC guidelines about self-isolation and when to end it. The CDC has specific guidelines depending on the displayed symptoms and whether or not the person tests positive. You can find the latest CDC advice here.

2. Talk to Employees Who Worked With Infected Workers

You need to talk to anyone who worked with or near (within six feet) of the infected employee for an extended period. This can be up to ten minutes for employees that work closely together or up to half an hour or longer for those who shared tools and items. Focus on people who worked with the employee within 48 hours of symptoms/positive test. The CDC recommends isolating anyone who worked close to the infected worker. Employees should self-isolate for 14 days at home. Self-isolating employees should monitor themselves for coronavirus symptoms, avoid contact with high-risk people, and consult a doctor if their symptoms worsen.

Please note the CDC developed separate guidelines for essential workers. If your business is considered an essential one, then asymptomatic employees who have been exposed directly to a confirmed COVID-19 case can continue to work, per specific guidelines. Asymptomatic employees are still a potential risk and should be monitored. Please also note that these guidelines change all the time. It’s essential that you stay updated on the latest developments and guidelines.

3. Clean and Disinfect the Workplace

The next step is to ensure that workplaces are thoroughly cleaned and disinfected. Cleaners should clean and disinfect everything in the workplace, such as offices, common areas, and bathrooms. Cleaners should focus on the areas and surfaces frequently used by the infected employee.

Please don’t neglect the safety of employees still working during and after the cleaning process. Employees should be informed about what chemicals are used during cleaning and the potential risks they present.

Aftertime-Bio is ready and waiting to help with your coronavirus cleanup. The technicians at Aftertime-Bio take every necessary precaution to protect themselves, your employees, and your customers against coronavirus infection. Count on us to give your workplace the deep clean it needs after suspected or confirmed workplace coronavirus cases.

4. Notify Employees

The CDC recommends informing employees about confirmed cases. Please be careful not to reveal confidential medical information about the case, such as the employee’s name. Also, inform employees about the steps you took to rectify the situation, including mandating employees who worked closely with the infected individual to self-isolate at home. Tell employees about your efforts to clean and sanitize the workplace to keep it safe, and remind employees to seek medical help if they exhibit coronavirus symptoms.

Informing employees is for more than their benefit. Failing to report the situation to employees could violate OSHA’s general duty clause. This clause guarantees a safe working environment for employees and mandates that employers do their best to provide such an environment.

What Coronavirus Testing Does the CDC Recommend?

The CDC’s current guidelines suggest not using antibody tests to determine if employees have coronavirus or can return to work. Antibody tests check blood samples for SARS-CoV-2 infection. This is the virus that causes coronavirus. Viral tests are better for detecting COVID and whether employees are still infected. These tests check a sample taken from the inside of the nose for SARS-CoV-2 infection.

The CDC recommends that employers make viral testing a part of the plan to prepare for, respond to, and control coronavirus cases. Please note that different states could have unique guidelines and priorities for workplace testing. Double-check the rules for your area before committing to anything.

When Can Infected Employees Return to Work?

The question of when employees can return to work is an important one. Employees should take all necessary precautions to prevent coronavirus spread first and foremost. Infected employees should not come back to the workplace until they meet the needs to end home isolation. Sick employees should also consult with a medical professional and be cleared to return before returning to work.

Employers shouldn’t ask employees to receive a negative test result or a medical note permitting them to return to work. These are not full guarantees that the employee is in the clear, and not every employee has access to these. What employees can do is stay home until they meet the criteria laid out by the CDC here.

We surface test all hard surfaces in a location to ensure that your property is as COVID-free as possible. We also use a proprietary chemical mix approved by the EPA for killing coronavirus.

When you hire Aftertime Bio for your office disinfection service, you’re working with a company that can legally claim to kill COVID-19.

OUR CORONAVIRUS CLEANING PROCESS

Coronavirus infections are still running rampant around the world, especially here in the United States. The virus has earned a reputation for being especially insidious, even by the standards of super viruses. The virus is remarkably resilient, surviving on surfaces without a host for up to 17 days. Even worse, people can have the virus for up to two weeks without noticing any symptoms. The long incubation period makes it difficult for businesses and governments to test, track, and trace coronavirus.

Because of these reasons, you need to hire a professional biohazard remediation service with the skills to pay the bills. We want to give you total peace of mind with our COVID cleaning services, which is why we’re open about our process.

Aftertime Bio COVID-19 commercial cleaning adheres to all OSHA standards and regulations. Our technicians follow all the latest state-of-the-art procedures when dealing with disinfection and cleaning diseases.

The current COVID-19 coronavirus is still novel, meaning we don’t know much about it, and it can always change. This is why our Coronavirus Task Force regularly consults the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to learn more about the latest solutions for dealing with the virus. We also use only the latest CDC-approved and EPA-registered disinfectants for our COVID disinfecting services.

DISINFECTING CORONAVIRUS

Our technicians use CDC-approved industrial-strength disinfectants approved for eliminating coronavirus. We clean, disinfect, and dispose of any infected materials as per our biohazard waste policy.

Our team wear fully-encapsulated personal protection equipment (PPE), including full-face respirators at all times to keep us – and you – safe. We follow stringent coronavirus demobilization processes on our waste storage, trucks, and equipment to keep them clean.

The coronavirus pandemic has only reinforced how serious a disease outbreak situation is. We understand that the health and safety of you, your family, your employees, and your customers are all on the line. Trust us when we say that we take that obligation seriously, as we hope you do too. Don’t hesitate to contact disinfectant companies and learn more about the latest coronavirus cleaning recommendations.

BE PREPARED

Everyone wants things to go back to normal as soon as possible. However, we know that it’s still going to take some time until we get there. We’ve seen how quickly the virus spreads and all are susceptible. Understanding the risks and taking the appropriate steps to prepare when re-opening is the key to future success.

The CDC recommends that businesses develop a complete plan of attack, implement that plan, and continue to revise and review it as needed based on what happens. From hiring cleaners and disinfecting homes and businesses before re-opening to continuing to monitor and prepare for a worst-case scenario, your business should leave no stone unturned in the fight against coronavirus.

If your home or office has come into contact with coronavirus and you need help, don’t hesitate to get in touch with Aftertime Bio. We have everything you need, from tools and experience to accreditation, to get the job done right. We’ve already helped many others disinfect against coronavirus, and we’d love to add you to that list.

COVID Disinfection for the Workplace in Louisiana
